Hello everyone!

I want to take this time to give thanks to our members, go over some common questions about AmeriProtect, and briefly discuss some highlights from 2019.

First, on behalf of the Michigan Association of Chiropractors, and it’s wholly owned subsidiary AmeriProtect, I want to thank all of the chiropractors, their staff, their families, and our strategic partners for their continued support and for understanding and sharing our vision of keeping the hard-earned financial resources of the profession in the profession. Your commitment to this vision has allowed the MAC to become much closer to owning its own Workers’ Compensation Insurance Company, and we couldn’t have come this far without you! We look forward to moving this project forward in 2020 and beyond. Thank you!

Second, there have been a few common questions that come up when we explain our vision and mission to chiropractors across the country. Here are the top two along with their answers:

Who owns AmeriProtect and who profits from its success?

AmeriProtect is owned by the Michigan Association of Chiropractors and its members. It is governed by a board of directors, all MAC members, who oversee the growth, transparency, and direction of the program.

Why should I use the AmeriProtect program to insure my business?

First, most of your insurance premiums will stay in the profession. Second, unlike many national carriers, we would NEVER ADVOCATE AGAINST chiropractic in any state. Third, we can more than likely save you money on your premiums. Supporting AmeriProtect is supporting your state association.

Finally, here are some brief highlights from 2019 that set us up for a very successful 2020!

One thing we did this year was to expand our insurance offerings from only offering workers’ compensation coverage to allowing chiropractors to cover all their business insurance needs through AmeriProtect. This makes it much easier to participate in the program and continue to support the MAC.

Second, we partnered with a really great credit card processor, association-owned by the Michigan Retailers Association, to offer very competitive rates and save our members some money (more info here: www.ameriprotect.us/cardservices).

And finally, we bound our first policy outside of the state of Michigan! (big shout-out to the Illinois Chiropractic Society for trusting us with their Workers’ Comp policy!).

2019 was a fantastic year full up progress and passion! We are very much looking forward to 2020 and all the big things we have planned, including some unique strategic partnerships designed to maximize the benefits to our members!. Stay tuned for that and more!
